Our story begins with Demetrios “Jimmy” Pasiakos, a passionate restaurateur with over 40 plus years of experience in the food and hospitality industry. Born in the picturesque village of Spilia, Greece, Jimmy immigrated to the United States at the age of 11, bringing with him a deep-rooted love for food, family, and hard work. In 1978, he made his mark in Connecticut by opening Putnam Pizza in Putnam, CT, the first of what would become more than 10 successful restaurants over the course of his career.

In 2011, D&G Pizza and Pub was born in Canterbury, Connecticut, and quickly grew into a beloved local gathering place. Alongside Jimmy is his wife, Maria, a co-owner and integral part of the business. Together, they have built D&G into more than just a restaurant—it has truly become a family affair. Over the years, their children and grandchildren have proudly stepped in to help, continuing the family tradition and welcoming guests with the same warmth and care that built the business.
